I booked an appointment, now what?

When you book an appointment as a new client, you will be required to complete an intake form that provides informed consent and some medical history. My operations and record-keeping are confidential and HIPAA-compliant.

It’s the day of my appointment! Where is your studio?

If you are a new client, please arrive 15 minutes before your session. I am located in suite 301-E at 2424 E York St, Philadelphia 19125. My studio is on the third floor, accessible via stairs. Though there is no public elevator in the building, there is a freight elevator that I can operate if you have any mobility restrictions - just let me know when you book. To enter the building, find my suitemate’s name “Missy Meyers” in the directory and I will buzz you in. If you need help navigating the building, I can meet you in the lobby. Here are directions once inside: Turn R when you walk in the lobby and follow the sign to the stairs. Walk up to the 3rd floor, pass the bathrooms and turn right. Make another right at the end of the hallway, and follow signs for 301-E. Here is a map of the third floor:

What happens during the session?

When you arrive, we will do a brief verbal check-in so I can hear how you are feeling and what your goals are. Massage is your time to zone out and be present with your breath (or even fall asleep!), and you do not need to chat with me during the session unless you would like to. If you have a question or request, you are welcome to speak up at any time. My hope is that you never feel exposed or cold, and if you do please let me know so that I can make an adjustment. I may prompt you to breathe, turn over, or provide feedback about pressure as needed. At the end of the massage, I can tell you about my observations and suggestions for aftercare at home if you are interested.

Am I supposed to be naked? Or leave my underwear on?

It’s totally up to you. You can remove all of your clothing, or leave your underwear on, whatever makes you feel most at ease. I will step out of the space for you to undress before getting on the massage table. I will ask for your consent that you’re ready (lying on the table, under the sheet and blanket) before re-entering the room. I will never undrape genitals.

Do you accept tips?

No thank you! Gratuity is included in my rates, and tipping is not expected. If you would like to express your appreciation, please leave me a Google review so others can find me.
